I decided to include red nails into the 15 Day Nail Challenge as I rarely see people wearing red nails and even I don't wear it all that often even though I own quite a lot! But once I have red nails I always like them!
I do tend to go for glossy red nails but I decided to try out a nail polish I got a few months ago from Poundland that is a matte suede, a finish which is in between being glossy/matte). I really do love this finish and actually it makes me wish Revlon would come out with a Matte Suede Top Coat.
Revlon's Fire Fox has been discontinued now but you can still find it on eBay! My favourite glossy red has to also be Revlon again and Cherries in the Snow - such a pretty shade and I love the name.

Today's nails definitely make up for my fail neon nails yesterday! I actually think these are my nicest nails so far! I love leopard print nails because you can vary the look of them so much. You can go for tiny detailed leopard print, you can fill in the print with different colours, you can apply the print over glitter, you can make the nail base coat matte and then add the print with a glossy top coat - literally you can do so many variations of leopard print nails!
To achieve the gradient base I applied the nails polish to the tip of the nails using a dry makeup sponge. I actually cut small blocks off the sponge so that I didn't get any nail polish on the skin so it looked really neat. I then decided to go for large leopard print with a Models Own Wah Nail Art Pen. Sadly I did have to remove these as today I'm at a wedding and I don't think they would have been very suitable!

Perfectly straight sleek hair is one thing that never going out of fashion. It always looks good - fact. I know I personally own a bazillion styling products to achieve this - from soothing creams, to finishing serums and even straightening serums that claim to make your hair poker straight.
In the past I have even used semi-permanent relaxing treatments in an obsessed attempt of achieving straighten hair.
But lets face it nothing makes your hair looks straighter or sleeker than using hair straighteners. Using hair straighteners not only gives the straightest finish to the hair but it also make the hair shine. The top product for this of course being GHD Hair Straighteners!
GHD's are also buildt to last which is why they are worth the investment. They won't start going creaky on you or snagging the hair. They will always be smooth and glide along the hair to give a perfect finish. Plus lets not forget that they also double up as curling tongs if you wrap the hair around the rounded barrel.
If you are looking to invest in GHD's it is important that you find good ghd stockists such as the one linked as you of course want the genuine article!
Do you own the cult hair straighteners that are GHD's?

Arghhh no, my first fail of the nail challenge! When I sat down this moring to paint my nails neon I realised that I only own one neon nail polish - Models Own Pink Punch... fail #1. Then I remembered it also doesn't photograph well, my camera clearly disliked it's neon undertones... fail #2. Then I messed up the file type of the image and made it a little fuzzy... fail #3!!
So please just ignore the nails completely and look at a previous nail post were I used Pink Punch that kind of shows the tone and brightness of it more (here). Though if you want to look at more accurate swatch I would suggest looking at this post (here) on Forever The Ugly Duckling's blog.
The pink/orange neon shade is one of my most favourite bright nail polishes. It is perfect for summer and looks amazing on the toes... ideal for wearing on holiday/on the beach. Also the application is spot on, opaque in two coats. To add a bit more interest I painted the tips with Models Own Juicy Jules!

I'm aware that my blog has turned in to a bit of a nail blog at the moment with doing my nail challenge! So I thought I would fit in a sneaky 'rave' post of a product I have been amazed by in the past week since I purchased it.
As you can see the product I am talking about is the Origins Super Spot Remover. Now first of all this teeny tiny bottle of magic, which is only 10ml is a bit of a pricey spot treatment at £12.00 (Boots - here). However if you do want a product that tackles a problem successfully then you pay a price don't you!
Product info
How to use - Cleanse skin. Apply a thin layer 1 to 3 times daily or as needed. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to every other day.
Just dab on a dot and feel blemish-busting Salicylic Acid go to work while anti-spot technology helps minimise the appearance of post-blemish marks. Skin-calming Caffeine and Red Algae help reduce the appearance of redness. And to help keep skin looking spotless, super exfoliators help eliminate excess oils and pore-clogging debris.
For me this has been working a dream. But like all skincare it won't be right for everyone... though I would say it seems to work for 90% of people that have reviewed it on different review sites. I simply dot this on any blemishes in the morning and then I leave it to dry before applying makeup if I'm going to be wearing any. The gel provides an invisible coating over the spot which I feel definitely stops the spot from spreading and creating more spots. I find for me applying this morning and night works best and hasn't made my skin dry out, though I can see how it could be drying if you already had dry skin or applied too much.
The gel just shrinks the spot and reduces redness within a day I would say and by the 3rd/4th day the spot has vanished! I have also been using this on tiny spots that are more like whiteheads just under my chin and it also seems to clear those up in no time!
I have got past that stage were I get the odd nasty spot but I can imagine this being a perfect product to have to really stop it in it's tracks and prevent something that is red and horrible on your face!
But if you are like me that gets the odd blemish it is also great to just apply daily to keep them totally as bay!
Oh Glitter nails how I love you so! Seriously I just love glitter nails, so when today came around I wanted to use every glitter nail polish I own on my nails!
I actually tried to figure out how I could use as many glitter polishes as possible... but then figured I just couldn't. So I decided to ditch all my beloved glitter nail polishes and use some 99p craft glitter instead?!
Now I haven't got a clue were I thought up this idea from but I sat down with my lovely Nails Inc Caramel nail polish and the bronze craft glitter and decided I want to do something were I poured glitter all over my nails in certain areas and then shook it off. I did think about using a clear top coat in areas and then pouring on the glitter while the polish was still wet but I knew I wouldn't be able to get any kind of detail that way.
Then I had a light bulb moment! Why not use a nail art pen (I used a black one) to apply whatever design I wanted and then pour on the glitter while it was still wet! I haven't got a clue why I decided to do the pattern I did... it was just quick and easy. After applying the glitter I tipped off excess and left the nail art to fully dry before dusting off the excess glitter with a fluffy eyeshadow brush... and voila!

We are now a third of the way in with our 15 Day Nail Challenge and so far I have really enjoyed it. I thought maybe it would give me some nail inspiration seeing other people's interpretations of the themes each day and it has.
But I have also discovered some lovely blogs and really feel like it's a little group as I see the same bloggers joining in each day!
Today's theme is nude nails which is my fail-safe option! I have so many nude nail polishes and never tire of them because there are so many shades of nude... maybe I should do a post entitled '50 Shades of Nude' haha.. though sadly I only have around 25+ nude nail polishes.
I decided to try out a new addition to my nude nail polish family - Orly Robo Romance (£5 - Boots), which I bought from the lovely Holly Arabella who has a lovely blog (here). I did swatch it on a nail first and decided it would need too many coats to become opaque so I went for my trusty Maybelline Forever Pro nail polish in Ivory Rose (£4.09) which creates a lovely base. Pretty nude nails with added twinkle!
