Beautiful Festive Nail Polishes from George at Asda

I thought I'd ease myself back into blogging by mentioning these wonderful jewel-toned nail polishes that I spotted last week for the bargain price of only £1 each!

These really beat the £1 MUA nail polishes from Superdrug hands down and any other budget nail polishes for that matter...

Lovely as they are I can't say I love the naming of the shades...Mysterious, Warrior and Shock aren't words that come to mind when looking at these nail polishes. So Asda if you're reading this - feel free to hand the job over to me! Pretty please?
The middle shade would have to be called 'Satin Taupe' and for the red shade maybe 'Cranberry Tart'?...Not to sure about the purple shade though, I'd have to brainstorm some ideas! But Mysterious definitely isn't working.
That aside these just look beautiful on the nails and would make a lovely cheap stocking fillers or gifts for someone this Christmas! Or even a small treat for yourself whilst food shopping ;)

Anyways I'll stop rambling and let the swatches do the talking!

Shock
This is just a beautiful high shine Christmass-y red which has fine red glitter/shimmer running through it. Perfect on it's own or with a red glitter top coat to make it extra festive!

Warrior
This shade reminds me a gorgeous pair of satin Christian Louboutin's...perfectly rich and great for both day and night. One thing to note is this shade shows up every ridge in the nail so using a buffer is a must for a perfect application.

Mysterious
Abit of a tough shade to describe, but there is just something about it that I love. For me this is Christmas party worthy.

Golden Sands
Thought I'd sneak another one in as this is a perfect festive shade. I bought this afew months ago in at the end of Summer and rarely touched it. But come the festive season I know this will look amazing on...under under any light this is soooo sparkly!

But for added sparkle you could always add a glitter eyeliner and then a clear top coat! I've just used a Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Gel Liner in Funk (£2.99).

P.S. Really does feel great to be blogging again and I'm really looking forward to showing you all some lovely Christmas gifts that I've already bought for myself...umm and ofcourse others! Also really looking forward to using my new camera & hopefully give you all better images in afew days & maybe even afew giveaways!

  15. So glad to see you back blogging Fee. :-)
I think my favourite is Mysterious although I totally agree with this name being a bit blah.
I never thought about using a glitter eyeliner over the top of polish to give it a glitter coating... what a fabulous idea.
