Zooey Deschanel - The New Face of Rimmel

Zooey Deschanel Rimmel @ Makeup Savvy

In the past year Rimmel London have been busy to say the least, firstly revealing the likes of Georgia Jagger and Coco Rocha as the new faces of Rimmel back in October. But they definitely didn't stop there, just as Coco's first ad was released this week, Rimmel revealed three more new faces to front there campaigns - The beautiful Zooey Deschanel, Solange Knowles and the not so well known Alejandra Ramos Munoz.

I know a lot of fellow beauty/fashion bloggers, including myself will be most looking forward to seeing Zooey Deschanel, however the campaign will debut in August where she will model Rimmel's new and apparently 'breakthrough' lash accelerating mascara. She will also be sporting there new perfecting powder foundation and a range of lasting lipsticks.

We shall have to wait awhile longer for Solange and Alejandra to make an appearance which should be towards the end of 2010. The reason being this is part of Rimmels new global plan, to have a wider range of ethnicity and to reach a wider audience. The London based company will publish it's new campaigns into the Middle East and Latin America.

(Georgia Jagger - Behind the scenes of her first photoshoot for Rimmel)

(Alejandra Ramos Munoz)

(Solange Knowles)

(Lily Cole & Sophie Ellis Bextor forRimmel)

(Kate Moss - Rimmel Campaign)

(Ayumi Hamasaki - Face of Rimmel in Asia)

I would love to know which new face you are looking forward to seeing in the campaigns and which out of the nine models do you prefer, old and new?

I personally favor Zooey Deschanel and Lily Cole.

  2. I absolutely adore Zooey. I very much dislike Kate Moss. Totally love Lily though. A lot of people say she's ugly but I don't know why, "beautiful" isn't just what "fits" in.

  4. This is such an exciting update from Rimmel! It's fantastic to hear they're expanding their roster with such diverse and influential faces. Zooey Deschanel is a brilliant choice, and I can't wait to see her model the 'breakthrough' lash accelerating mascara – her quirky charm will be perfect for it. The strategy to include more ethnicity and reach a wider global audience is also commendable. It makes me wonder about the marketing behind such big campaigns, and how they coordinate all the different global releases.
