Pale Girl Bronzing

Cheap_Bronzers_pale_skin

Being a pale skinned girl myself I know the woes it can bring when looking for the right shades of face products. From concealer to bronzers and of course foundation it can be a struggle!

But when it comes to bronzers unfortunately there isn't even half the amount of shades available compared to concealer and foundation. And on pale skin this can mean a lot look either orange or muddy!

So here are three of my favourite bronzers that you can pick up on the high street that work with my pale skin and hopefully yours as well. These can be used on the cheeks to warm up the face or as contour shades as they are all with little to no shimmer and also very blendable. All swatches can be seen at the bottom of the post.

Lush Charisma Skin Tint
£12.00/20g - Lush here or in-store

This has to be the most versatile and long lasting product I own and is ideal for pale skin. This generous sized pot of cream bronzer can be used under foundation, mixed with foundation or a BB cream or be dotted on it's own over the face and blended in. I personally like to dot this along my cheeks and up on to my temples and blend it for a slight bronzed glow to my skin. However in summer (an on holiday) I do like to mix this with my foundation to give an all over natural bronzed look.

The formula of this makes it pretty fool-proof as the gel like constancy mixes well with all foundations and blends into the skin with just the finger tips. Also you need so little that it will last you forever. As for the shade, which may appear on the dark side in my swatches below, this is perfect for pale skin as it blends so well and is very light and natural looking. If you are looking for a bronzer that will give you a radiant glow and can be used in many ways this may just be for you.

Bourjois_Bronzing_Powder

Bourjois Bronzing Powder - Shade 51
£6.99/ 16.5g - Boots/Superdrug/Tesco

This was actually the first bronzer I used to contour with and still I use it every time I do my makeup hence why I've most definitely hit pan... though I'd had it for a pretttty long time. This comes in two shades 51 & 52 with 51 of course being lighter and aimed at paler skin tones.

This bronzing powder is lightly chocolate scented and soft to touch making it lovely to use and very easy to blend. I use this with the Real Techniques Contour Brush and lightly contour under my cheekbones and over my temples . This stays put on the skin and can be built up for a slightly deeper colour. I also feel I should state that the 'glints of sunshine' really don't translate onto the skin, making it an ideal contour powder. Though if you are super pale this may be a touch too warm for you. *I also use this as an eyeshadow!*

I really do love this - a lot! I would actually say this is my favourite product from Bourjois along with Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

NYC_Go_Bold_Bronzer

NYC Big Bold Bronzing Powder in Manhattan
£3.99/17g - Superdrug here

This is my quick-to-use all over bronzer that I can quickly sweep over my face, chest and shoulders, especially in summer! This was embossed with a lovely mosaic style sun design which pretty much disappears after a few uses along with the visible shimmer, leaving a matte powder with very subtle shimmer to it. The shimmer really isn't that noticeable on the skin however I would suggest this is more of an all over bronzer than a contour shade.

As the pan is so huge this makes it ideal for using a large blush brush with, however it is a powdery bronzer than is prone to fall out so a heavy hand can make a mess and also over apply the product. For the price this is an excellent powder to use when going on holiday or in summer. Though having said that I do apply this to my neck and chest even in winter when I have used bronzer on my face as I prefer to use powder products on my neck, downwards.

All more heavily swatched than how they would apply to the face

These 3 bronzers really do offer a lot and last a long time. My favourite would have to be the Bourjois Bronzing Powder as it's just a makeup staple now and I couldn't be without it. But for versatility I would always opt for the Lush Skin Tint as it can be used in so many ways and for Summer/all over bronzing it would have to be the NYC Big Bold Bronzing Powder.

Other great bronzers for pale skin include - Benefit Hoola (great for contouring), Sleek bronzers and NYX Blush in Taupe.

Hopefully this has been interesting and please feel free to let me know of any other good bronzers for pale skin!

Fee xo.
