NOTD - Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Lilac Charm

Maybelline-Forever-Strong-Lilac-Charm

The sun isn't shining but I thought I would share with you a summery pastel nail polish. Lilac Charm was actually the nail polish that converted me to liking pastel nail polish shades as it was so wearable and not wishy washy looking.

I am still fairly picky when it comes to pastel nail polishes as they can sometimes look a bit bland but Lilac Charm actually showed me how a pastel shade can work against pale skin.

Firstly I have to say I love all nail polishes from the Maybelline Forever Strong Pro range, they are easy to apply due to the amazing curved tipped brush and they set really hard so that they really last on the nails. Lilac Charm does retail for £4.10 in most shops, such as Boots, Superdrug, Tesco etc but at the moment Fragrance Direct have it in stock (here) for only 99p so even with delivery it comes to only £2.98! Just make sure you ignore the £1.99 Essie Polishes and £1.99 Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks or your basket will end up at £10+ like mine did only yesterday!

As you can see the lilac nail polish is a lovely cream formula that is quite a milky lilac but is also quite cool toned. So this will work well against really pale skin but also look like a bright pastel shade against tanned or darker skin tones, making it ideal for summer.

This summer I will be getting my hands on Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Hot Salsa which is pretty much the opposite of Lilac Charm being a hot vibrant coral shade perfect for both the fingers and toes.

Fee xo.
