Arghh no! More fail nails. Pretty, yes. But these are not stripes! Not even diagonal stripes. You see I actually had a mind blank when I sat down to do my nails and thought lines instead of stripes! So please just ignore that I cheated a bit and imagine the striping tape is only horizontal!
To do this I first painted my nails black (Orly Black Out) and then placed the shiny striping tape over my nails. I then cut off the excess tape with some nail clippers.Then I made everything matte by applying a coat of the Models Own Pro Matte Top Coat. Really simple and easy to do.
I actually prefer how the striping tape loots matte and definitely think when doing more nail art I may paint the tape matte before applying it over glossy nails.

Tomorrows theme is Film Inspired nails - one I have been really looking forward to for a bit! Just to clarify I talking movie/showbiz/film nails. So it could be maybe your favourite film or something film related for example red glittery nails and yellow brick patterns for Wizard of OZ.
