Models Own Dreamcatcher Nail Art

As most of you will know I love nail art and I love Models Own nail polishes. So this morning I decided to sit down with my trusty nail art tools and my favourite MO polishes - Pink Punch & Gold Finger and create some lovely summer nails.

I've seen various dream catcher nails recently so I thought I'd try it out for myself and add a little glitter. I was tempted to use another colour as well or do gradient/ombre pink nails but I actually think they would have been too much.

These may seem quite detailed but with the pen I use and a dotting tool it was pretty easy. You can find out how I created the nails below...

Of course a steady hand is needed but if you have that and love nail art then I cannot recommend the Muji Gel Pens enough. The 0.38 nib size is ideal for using on the nails and is better than any nail art pens I've tried.

I first painted my nails with Pink Punch from the Ice Neon collection (£5 - here) and then applied a thin coat of Seche Vite Top Coat (£584 - here) to dry them rock solid. Once totally dry I used the Muji Gel Pen to draw on the dream catchers. The feathers may look quite detailed but trust me it's just little light flicks that create them. After that I added a slightly thicker coat of Seche Vite as I want these nails to last and then with my cheap eBay dotting tool added tiny dots of Models Own Gold Finger (£5 - here)

I will admit I am pretty pleased with these nails as they are just so summery and I love the touch of glitter, it just glistens perfectly in the sun. I absolutely love Models Own Gold Finger as it's just such an opaque/packed glitter polish.

The next nail art I want to try out is some blue & white paisley nails!

Fee xo.
