Come Christmas I love all things glitter, actually I tell a lie, I love glitter all year round! But yes, how much I love it is turned up a notch and most days you will see me sporting some type of glitter whether it be on my eyes, nails or in what I'm wearing.

My go-to way of wearing glitter especially at Christmas is on the nails as I can't get enough of a glittery mani... even if it's a nightmare to remove! But with House of Fraser's new Your Christmas, Your Rules campaign and amazing advert (yes, I have the song stuck in my head as well) I thought I would try to re-create their own glitter lips which I instantly loved.

Now I won't lie and say I always sport full on glitter lips but after watching the below mini masterclass video and reading through the House of Fraser Glitter Lips tutorial with all the creative imagery I was ready to give it a go and to see exactly how it looked on myself and to just get creative really! Because if you can't be bold and fun at Christmas when can you?!

So armed with my favourite red lipstick from MAC in Runaway Red, my trusty Bare Minerals lip liner, a lip brush and of course a ton of glitter I set to work and came up with these cranberry glitter lips!

Am I pleased with how it turned out? Yes, yes, yes! These lips just scream Christmas to me and I'm loving them, especially the shade of glitter and base lip colour I went for to create a stunning cranberry shade.

To create the  glitter lips I followed the mini masterclass and started by lining my lips, which when going so bold with your lip colour is a essential. I then applied MAC Runaway Red with a lip brush to create a precise finish. Then applying a dab of lip balm for the glitter to properly adhere to I dipped a small lip brush into a pot of glitter and slowly stippled the glitter onto the lips making sure I applied an even coverage.

For a less bold look I would definitely now apply the same glitter to the center of my lips, but who knows I may be confident enough to pull off this look come New Years Eve!

I'd really love to know what you think of these glitter lips and also what your own rules are, especially when it comes to Christmas makeup!

Fee xo.
