Current Skincare Favs

It seems like forever ago that I mentioned skincare, but since a change in season and an unfortunately bout of unhappy skin I have totally changed up what I've been using. So it now seems like a good time to talk skincare since my skin in looking and feeling so much better!

As always I feel it's important to mention my skin types is oily/combination and can easily become dehydrated as most of the skincare below is targeted towards that.

Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil 200ml
£10.99 - Boots here
Cleansing Oils are my favourite when it comes to quick cleansing, they slip over the skin melting makeup away easily. Then they simply emulsify with water without leaving a film behind. The above cleanser does just that whilst feeling like a luxury product with it's dreamy zesty orange scent and smooth lightweight oil. I find this leaves my skin clean, smoother and a touch brighter with continual use. Normal, combination or oily skin types should love this! May not be suitable for anyone with sensitive skin due to the fragrance.

Bee Good Honey Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser 100ml
£11.50 - Bee Good website here
As I mentioned I recently went through a period of having unhappy, quite angry skin - spots under the skin around my jawline that were painful and persistent. So I was straight back to thoroughly cleansing my face with a cream cleanser after makeup wearing days, even double cleansing with the above cleansing oil at least twice per week. I find this cream cleanser to be so very similar to Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish in how thick and creamy it is and how it effectively removes all makeup. However the scent of the Bee Good Cream Cleanser tips it for me as there isn't that strong herbal/menthol scent there but a fresh slightly mint scent that has a touch of honey to it. You can find the cleanser in most Waitrose stores.

Super Facialist Tea Flower Deep Clean Mattifying Moisturiser 75ml
£12.99 - Boots
This has been my morning moisturiser for such a long time now as I just can't fault it! Ideal for oily skin this somewhat balances skin prone to blackheads and excess oil whilst also leaving a matte finish to the skin - perfect for applying foundation onto. If you struggle to find a light moisturiser for your oily skin type then I'd highly recommend this! Plus the tea flower scent is so fresh and lovely.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster 15ml
£15.00 - Debenhams here or £18.00 Feel Unique here
Pre-morning moisturiser this is what I apply because I simply can't get enough of it. Half due to the fact I'm addicted to the sugary orange scent and half due to the pumped effect it gives my skin. I've just recently treated myself to this again and even though the bottle is small I know it will last well over 6 months and is just so worth it to me. Very much my crack!

Avene Cleanance K Cream Gel 40ml
£11 - Boots here
Last but not least another product I feel has a lot of do with the clearing up of my sore blemishes. This instantly became my nightly cream over my t-zone and my jaw where I was experiencing them nasty under-skin spots. Within a week I was seeing a difference and within 2 weeks my skin had calmed down fully and was nearly back to how it was. The scent and feel of this cream isn't that nice with quite a medical scent and a thick gel feel but I know it's a product I can always rely on to help my skin without drying it out or being too harsh.

What skin care products have you been loving lately?
