Patisserie De Bain Lip Balm - Sugared Violet

Patisserie_Lip_Balm

Remember I featured this little beauty in a wish list post last week? Well I decided... what is one more lip balm?! Though with a love for anything violet scented, an addiction to lip balms and a passion for a bargain this was a given purchase for me.

Patisserie De Bain the fairly new range from Rose & Co is a delightful selection of bath & body products that make for lovely gifts and treats. The scent range always lures me in to the products, with scents such as - Lemon Bon Bon, Raspberries & Roses, Strawberry Cupcake, Sugared Violet and Coconut Ice.

With Parma Violets being a childhood favourite of mine I had to go for the Sugared Violet Lip Balm in hope it would live up to that sweet perfumed scent I have loved since the age of 8. Parma Violet scented it definitely is... though with a slight soap-y/synthetic taste that thankfully doesn't last on the lips.

The lovely range of lip balms come in three of the five flavours/scents, available at ASOS for £3 each here.

As for how this feels on the lips, I was pleasantly surprised with the soft petrolatum formula that smooths over the lips with ease, leaving them glossy and soft. The ingredients as you can see may not be the best but for the past week that I have been religiously using the balm I can report that is does soften and hydrate the lips.

From the swatches above you may be able to see the slightly lilac tint to the lip balm which does translate onto the lips slightly but it does all depend on how much you apply and the  natural colour of your lips.

Another cute little lip balm for my handbag.

I'm sure I will be buying Strawberry Cupcake and Lemon Bon Bon in the not so distant future!

Fee xo.
