NOTD - Butter London Yummy Mummy & Models Own Disco Inferno

Since we are now in September I have been trying to achieve more autumn-y nails without going to dark in colour. I felt my last manicure with MUA's Frozen Yogurt here was spot on and discovered lavender is definitely a good transitional shade.

Today's nails however are slightly more autumnal as the lovely glitter top coat reminds me of crisp leaves!

I started off by painting my nails with Butter London Yummy Mummy as I felt it was a good neutral base. However for the price (£12.00 - Amazon here) I can't say I'm that impressed with it. I can't comment of the wear of the polish but it applied thinly like quite a budget nail polish would... a rubbish one at that! Though at least after 3 coats it did appear more thick on the nails, but not what I was expecting at all from such a high end nail polish brand!

I also decided to go for an accent nail using the beautiful Sally Hansen Complete Manicure Nail Polish in Gilded Lily. I sadly can't find this anywhere online, not even eBay, but if you do come across it and love Autumnal shades or rich glitters then get it, you seriously won't regret it!

To finish I applied a single coat of Models Own Disco Inferno from the Mirrorball Collection (£5.00 - Models Own website here) which with it's cut glitter in gold, bronze and green just looks perfect. For once I didn't apply a clear top coat as I quite like the slightly rough effect the glitter gives to the nails.

This is a subtle autumnal manicure that I'm really pleased with.

What nail polish shades do you like to wear for Autumn/Fall?

Fee xo.
