Are You Excited For Mini (Overpriced) Orly's at Boots?

Personally I'm not to sure if I am that excited!

Of course it will be nice to have another range to have the choice over in Boots but really £5 for 5.3ml does seem atad steep. Especially when you compare them to Models Own £5 nail polishes containing 14ml each... though some may argue Orly is a professional/salon brand and Models Own aren't.

But more to the point you can actually buy the full sized 18ml Orly nail polishes from Quartz Health & Beauty * for just 60p more! Including free delivery... so that's £5.60 for any of the Orly nail polishes or treatments and not a mini in sight! Plus the website has a huge range - around 115 Orly polishes and over 10 different treatments.

*Quartz Health & Beauty is a trade website however you can purchase any of the products without being a professional or student. Though they do outline here that they except no responsibility for damage or injury from accidental misuse by untrained personnel i.e you and moi.
Though to be fair this really doesn't put me off from buying from the site especially when the only thing I am interested in is there nail polish, but I thought it was something I needed to mention.

So you see my problem isn't with the range at all but more the price of the mini polishes which are appearing somewhat overpriced!

Though I can't deny that the Orly polishes will make for a lovely display in Boots with there amazing colour range.

The Orly Mani Minis will hit Boots online first on 8th March and 54 Boots stores on the 9th. The range will consist of 48 different shades and 2 treatments - a top & base coat.

For the time being I think I will be sticking to buying Models Own polishes in store and full size Orly's online for 60p more!

  1. I'm going to give these a try. I've never used Orly before so may get one just to see if I like the consistency then if I do will go to the site you've recommended.

  6. I'll never use up a bottle of NP anyway, so I'd might buy some minis. If it's not like OPI and the mini's brushes are awful compared to full size.

Of course the price is steep, but other minis are also more expencive per ml than full size.

  9. I have to agree that if you only have to pay 60p more for the full size, the minis are a rip-off!

  10. I am such a magpie and one colour is my "to die for" nail polish on a Tuesday and replaced by something completely different on Thursday so minis work for me on that basis, £5 is steep for a mini but I know I wont be able to resist!

  11. I suppose the only up side to buying them at Boots is that you get the points!

  14. i thought i was the only one resenting the price haha, even if it was £5 for 8ml it wouldn't be so bad, but almost £1 a ml is too much!

  15. What a rip off indeed. I too will go to boots, look at the colours and then buy from Quartz Health & Beauty or from the US.

  16. I keep reading about these like they're an awesome deal but I agree with you--it's a tiny bottle of polish for too much money. Blah. Keep your minis, Orly! I don't want 'em.

  17. Neh. I'm more interested in the colour range than size since I've yet to finish a full bottle of nail polish (or even a mini one for that matter!). If there's a must have shade I've not found anywhere else for a cheaper price, I'd probably cave. However, haven't tried Orly's yet, so not exactly buying into the hype.

  19. Yeah that is crazy !! Why pay more when there are so many amazing nail polish brands (cheaper) on the market. I'm sticking with Barry M and I've just got into Models own :)
