From dreamy palettes to use all summer long (with or without a tan!) to light formulas and handbag cool-down essentials for those hot heat wave days to come. I've also thrown in a few new summer skincare launches I can't wait to try.
If you're a long time reader around here then you will know 'new in' posts don't appear all too often. The reason... 1) I feel there are beauty bloggers more on the pulse than I, namely British Beauty Blogger and Really Ree, and 2) It's not often a whole bunch of new releases catch my attention all at once!
However, over the past few weeks I've been adding to my 'to buy' list ever more to the point I felt like writing a 'new-in/wish list' type post. For the most part, everything here, bar two products, is budget-friendly so if anything does catch your eye it won't hurt your bank balance.
It's not often that I find I'm lusting over more new drugstore releases than high-end ones. But right now that seems to be the case with a list as long as my arm on the notes of my phone mostly of beauty launches you can pick up in either Boots or Superdrug. So today I thought I'd share the best of these new beauty launches while hopefully not enabling too much spending!
ASOS is my go-to platform for both clothing and beauty these days. I personally find their service and choice amazing and basically I'm obsessed with them!
One of the main reasons I love ASOS Beauty so very much is because they stock NYX! But they are also on it with new brands and releases, plus they often have exclusive products! Below are some amazing new additions to the ASOS website that I recently picked up and needed to share with you!
Monki 4 Shade Eyeshadow Kit- Golden Base

Did you know Monki now has a makeup line? Nope, neither did I!
With some pretty swoon-worth holographic packaging I had to pick up at least one item and I decided that had to be Shady Lady Eyeshadow Kit which includes 4 wearable shades. Sadly other than the outer packaging being goddamn amazing the palette is just plain black but hey ho! As for the lovely eyeshadows they all have a standard amount of shimmer to them and all go amazing well together to create a golden/neutral smokey eye. I have to say I love the mid-tone brown and the light golden shades the most! Quality wise expect something similar to Barry M and Models Own - nicely pigmented and perfect if you are on a budget. Toni & Guy Plait Head Band - Brunette

I'm going to admit it... I suck at milkmaid braids. I've tried and tried but I've yet to get them cutesy braids looking anything other than silly on me - seriously, I must be doing something wrong! But a solution is here with the new Toni & Guy Plait Head Band... that looks and feels creepily like real hair (it's not, don't worry)! The headband come in 4 colour choices from ultra bright blonde to black. So far I've worn this quite a bit and love how it looks, there's definitely no give away that it's not your own hair, unless you were to wear your hair high up as is does have an elasticated band to the back. Really impressed with this and highly recommend it if you are also awful at braids!
COLAB Sheer & Invisible Dry Shampoo - Monaco

Did you know Colab are now stocked on ASOS? This may be boring news to some, but as this is my favourite dry shampoo brand that's only stocked in Superdrug, I'm pretty pleased! I can now throw in a can of my favourite Monaco scented CoLab with a clothing order whenever I'm running out of the stuff. If you haven't tried Colab but use dry shampoo then I highly recommend trying out the brand. I find it doesn't itch the scalp unlike other dry shampoos, it smells amazing and it doesn't leave your hair feeling like straw! Also the Monoco scent is particularly lovely with an aque type scent that's subtly lingers. Whoop, to COLAB now being at ASOS!
Oh K! Cooling Eye Pads

Another beauty brand that is new to ASOS and an exclusive to the site is Oh K! If you love the cuteness or should that be kawaii of Korean makeup products but find them to be expensive or hard to get hold of in the UK then this is the brand for you! The range consists of 11 products (for now) - from a sweet peach scented detangling brush to an ultra cute panda shaped hand cream and so many other lovely products in between! This is a brand that easily suits both teens and adults as it's just lovely but also practical. I decided I needed to try out something from the range so I picked up these cooling eye pads which you keep in the fridge. The cooling pads that look like panda eyes aim to reduce puffiness and refresh the eyes, and as someone that experiences literally hot swollen eyes when I've not had enough sleep they have already been a god send! Five minutes sat with these over your eyes (mostly likely not looking like a cute panda) and your eyes will feel cooled, a lot less puff and much more awake! Ideal if you have a similar problem to me or even have allergies/hayfever! Check out the amazing range of products here.
Anna Sui Make Up Compact Case

Lastly I picked up this amazing compact from the new Anna Sui makeup range. Again this is another unique beauty range at ASOS that I'm always tempted by. I decided to treat myself to this, well it was only £10.00, because I loved the look of it and I recently bought a discounted BB Pressed Powder that will fit into it. With or without makeup inside this makes a beautiful mirror and powder puff (it feels soooo soft!). It is plastic but I kind of like that as it add to the quirky vintage look. So happy I picked this up now.

Okay, so we are nearing the end of October, seriously where do the days go? But I felt there was still time to share with you some amazing new launches and offers this month.
You see I'm not the quickest of bloggers, I'm actually the biggest slow coach... my spirit animal is seriously a sloth, so a round-up post such as this one is a great way to share with you a few of my favourite new products, freebies and offers! And with October being an especially great month for new products I thought why not start a new blog post series - I have a feeling they will jam-packed come the festive season!
This year's Boots Christmas catalogue is out!
Though I'm yet to feel Christmas-y, I am excited for the flurry of Christmas catalogues that will be popping up in the coming weeks, especially the Boots one. Boots for me, and I'm sure a lot of people, is perfect for picking up last minute gift sets especially with the 3 for 2 offer they always put on. I also love browsing though the gift guide discovering the exclusive sets from brands such as Soap & Glory and The Sanctuary. The Boots Christmas catalogue is definitely a staple Christmas item! The October Glossybox is pretty damn great
For the past few months now GlossyBox have impressed me (see last months reviewed box here). With a good mix of high and low end samples and often full sized products you really do get your money's worth and this months is certainly a treat with all full size products. Though products do vary from box to box each box this month includes a full size Lanolips product as well as products from So Susan, Jelly Pong Pong and Talika. Plus there's a fab blending sponge included from Nicka K. I really am so pleased with this box and will be using all of the products - in fact I'm already using the fab So Susan Highlighting pencil to conceal/highlight the under-eye area and as an eyeshadow base and using the Lanoliops Dy Skin Salve nightly. Carex have come out with yet more amazing scented hand washes
With getting older I've come to enjoy the mundane things of life and that includes enjoying and appreciating a good hand wash. This actually started when I came across Carex's Cola Bottles Hand Wash last year... in fact I'm pretty sure I mentioned it here on Makeup Savvy. Since then I've been enjoying handwash and now never just opt for the cheapest or what's on offer. Though the new richer and nourishing Carex range looked interesting I was pretty sure it wouldn't sway me from my favourite cola bottle and chocolate orange scents, but I was wrong - there are amazing (yes, hand wash scents can be described as amazing!). The new hand washes include - Indulgent Argan Oil & Cocoa, Luxurious Macadamia Oil & Vanilla and Enriching Coconut Oil & Almond. My favourite has to be the lovely Argan Oil & Cocoa which to me has a rich toffee scent but all the scents have a luxurious non-synthetic aroma which you really wouldn't expect for the price! Though it's a little naughty I totally encourage you to have a little sniff of all the new scents when next food shopping - I'm sure you will be impressed and may even become a fellow lover of hand washes! Side note - I'm pretty sure the range will be half price or lower as it's new... Superdrug currently have it on sale for 99p!
Free Nails Inc Nail Polish with this month's Glamour Magazine
This month's magazines are full of freebies but my favourite lowest spend option has to be Glamour magazine as it's only £2.00 and includes a full-sized Nails Inc Nail Polish, plus a 20% off H&M voucher. There's a choice of 4 on-trend shades perfect for A/W - Grosvenor Crescent (dark purple), Notting Hill Gate (vibrant pink), Victoria & Albert (pillar box red) and Colville Mews (classic beige). As I'm subscribed to Glamour mag and they don't send freebies I will be picking up my free nail polish when next shopping at one of the listed retailers.
Models Own have launched a new GlitterGel Collection
As we are talking nail polish I thought I'd also share with you the new GlitterGel collection from Models Own. I'm personally the biggest fan of the original Gel collection (just so glossy and long lasting) and as a fan of glitter, this is a match made in heaven. The new collection includes 5 shades for now but with Models Own being Models Own I'm sure we will see more shades added in the coming months. For now the shades include - Starburst, Sheer Sparkle, Crystal Pink, Red Carpet (nail swatches seen above) and Petunia Glitz. Having swatched a few of the new shades I can say the opacity does vary with the red, black and vibrant pink shades offering the best coverage and vibrancy and the other two shades being more of a sheer coat of glitter to use over a base colour of your choice.
