Luxury-beauty-christmas-gift-guide-2015

After sharing with you quite a lot of bargain buys in my previous gift guides (Under £5 Gift Guide and Under £15 Gift Guide) I thought it was time for a little luxury!

Christmas is certainly the time of year to hope for something special, it may be your signature scent, a luxury skincare set or a total surprise! This guide is both to inspire if you are still doing your Christmas shopping and for possible splurges after Christmas in the Boxing Day sales!

theBalm-in-the-balm-of-your-hand-palette

High End Beauty Buys

theBalm In theBalm of you Hand Palette (£34.00 Debenhams)
If you're a lover of theBalm then you will probably be swooning over this palette right now. This is a combination of best selling single products and various shades from other smaller palettes to create one amazing palette. Included in the palette - 3 blushers, 1 bronzer, 1 highligher, 4 eyeshadows, 1 cheek & lip cream and 1 lipstick. The stars of the show here are Mary-Lou Manizer Lumizer, Hot Mama Blusher and the 4 eyeshadows from various theBalm palettes. Just an amazing palette for someone that loves theBalm! Side note - Finally a brand has figured out a way to separate cream products from powder ones in the same palette!

Luxury Scents
Fragrances are the perfect item to give and receive at Christmas, I know I'm hoping for at least one new scent. There are so many new launches this year but two of my favourites are Thierry Mugler Alien (EDT 30ml - £39.99 Boots here) and Dolce and Gabbana The One (EDP 30ml - £37.99 Fragrance Direct here). Both are such classic scents that I know many people love. But if you really want to go down the luxury route a fragrance gift set of the recipients favourite scent will be a total hit I'm sure.

Ted Baker Wash Bag (£27.00 Ted Baker)
If you know a fellow beauty lover than a lovely gift to give them is a high end makeup/wash bag as it's generally something that people don't often buy themselves. Ted Baker offer an amazing range of wash bags that are high quality, structured and importantly wipe clean. The above makeup bag is now sadly discontinued but there are so many stunning designs on the Ted Baker website.

Liz-earle-Christmas-gifts-2015

Skincare

Liz Earle Sparkling Skin Duo (£28.00 Liz Earle or select Boots/John Lewis stores)
If you know someone that is into their skincare than a high end skincare set is a perfect gift to give them. Of course you have to be aware of their skin type and any allergies they may have but a brand that is perfect for nearly all skin types and needs is Liz Earle, you really can't go wrong with it in my opinion. The above set is an ideal gift if the recipient is new to Liz Earle or loves the brand as it contains the star product of the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser with 2 muslin clothes and the highly rated Instant Boost Skin Tonic. A great all-round set for any age that will cleanse and brighten the skin a dream.

Elemis New Beginnings Pro-Collagen Collection (£68.00 Elemis)
If you have a little more to spend than Elemis is the skincare brand to look at. This year they have some amazing gift sets that are beautifully presented including this amazing Pro-Collagen set that contains their excellent Marine Cream. What I love about this set is that it's true luxury, from the 3 quality products - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Eye Renewal and 2 Hydra-Gel Eye Masks, to the turquoise box that is so stunning that it could easily be used as a jewellery box or trinket box. This is just a stunning luxury gift that I'm sure anyone would be thrilled with!

This-works-product-reviews

Single Luxury Products

This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up (£30/40ml - Boots here) Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (£16.00/75ml - Boots here)
This Works is a fairly new brand for me but as I've been so impressed with the products I've tried I really wanted to include them. As the name states the products really do work and are so effective - I can't tell you how much I already love this brand! My absolutely favourite product is the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray which I was sceptical about but it's amazingly improved how quickly I fall to sleep and the quality of sleep I have - no more waking up during the night. As someone that's taken sleeping tablets in the past I'm so very glad I've found this natural product that works! This is certainly a new favourite and one of those that will be forever repurchased. An ideal gift for someone that struggles with sleep or relaxing. As for In Transit Camera Close-Up, again this is a product that just works and gets the job done amazingly well. This is basically a primer and moisturiser in one and creates the perfect base for makeup as well as brightening the skin. The Works also do quite a few gift sets that would make lovely gifts this Christmas.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (£25.00 Boots or Limited Edition at John Lewis)
Sometimes it's nicer to spend on one luxury item tha a few budget products especially for someone that enjoys high end beauty but don't treat themselves to it. Touche Eclat is one of those products that you can certainly give as a single gift as it's such a cult product that so many people love - I've been re-purchasing it for 10 years! Equally lovely products would be a single Chanel lipstick or nail polish!

REN Rose Gold Glow Perfect Dry Oil Spray (£26.00 John Lewis)
Lastly I had to include a favourite body product of mine that feels quite festive with the stunning rose gold accent packaging and name. This is a gorgeous sensual smelling dry oil that hydrates the skin a dream after a bath or shower. I love quite a few REN products now but this just feels such a luxurious product to me and and ideal for gifting to someone special.

Cloud-9-original-straighteners

Luxury Electrical

Cloud Nine Original Iron Christmas Gift Set (£135.00 - Cloud 9 or Look Fantastic)
Over the years I've tried many a hair straightener but Cloud Nine are by far the best and a brand I wouldn't stray from now. For Christmas Cloud Nine have teamed up with designer, Emilio de la Morena to bring out this gorgeous limited edition velvet heat resistant bag that I can't get enough of. As for the hair straighteners these are the original irons that I really do prefer over the Cloud Nice Touch Irons as you can can control the temperature which is so important so not to heat damage the hair. Also the plates of the irons really are perfect and ideal for long, thick hair. This really is an amazing gift set and a real treat for someone that you may know is in need of new hair straighteners!

Panasonic IPL Hair Removal System (£299.99 - Boots)
On to one of the latest beauty gadgets now that I've been lucky enough to try out (I'm in the process of trialing it out for 6 weeks). This is the latest and the most portable home hair removal devices on the market today that offers safe and long lasting hair removal to the arms, underarms, legs and bikini line with a simple treatment once every 2 weeks to begin with and then once every 4 weeks to keep up the results. I tried my first IPL system years ago when they were heavy and tiresome to use but with the latest technology the lightweight portable device can be worked into your routine and takes 10 minutes per leg at most. I'm currently trialing this out on my underarms and I've already seen reduced hair growth and I'm actually seeing a few bald patches now - a full review to come! This is of course an investment purchase/gift to buy someone but finally the technology is there with it and now is the right time to spend on a device like this!

cheap-oprah-magazine-subscription-UK

Luxury Extras

Oprah Magazine Subscription or other U.S magazine subscriptions £30+
Magazine subsciptions are are great gift to give at Christmas, they are the gift that keeps on giving over the coarse of the year and if the recipient is a fan of the magazine they will love it! UK magazine subscriptions cost around the £15-30 mark but I've found you can often subscribe to US titles for a little bit more if you order though the American website instead of a UK based website! This is something I've done for my sister in the past with Oprah magazine which she enjoys reading. You can order a 1 year subscription through the US Hearst Magazines website for $50/£33... and that's including the extras delivery costs! So it's totally worth checking out US magazine titles to give that extra special gift.

Decorative Mansion Box, Large (£35.00 John Lewis)
John Lewis is one of my favourite places to shop at Christmas as it has so many wonderful unique gifts and this is one of them. Yes, it may only be a decorative box but I personally use it as a jewellery box as it's just so detailed and gorgeous. A gift like this maybe filled with some other little treats would make a perfect gift to someone that enjoys interiors. Other decorative boxes here including a smaller size of the Mansion box.

Dita Von Teese Your Beauty Mark (£17.00 Amazon)
There's something about receiving a large hardback book at Christmas, isn't there? Your Beauty Mark is amongst a few new makeup books this Christmas, which I've featured in my other Christmas guides, but this offers something slightly different. This book focuses on vintage makeup and hair as well as Dita Von Teese herself with so many wonderful portraits of her in the book. This would of course be a book for someone interested in old hollywood style makeup or in the makeup industry to pour over and have as a coffee table book. As you can see in the first image without the book jacket it looks quite a luxury coffee table book which is how I will be keeping it! Just a wonderful quality book for admirers of Dita or makeup lovers.

Ted Baker Leather Crystal Matinee Purses (£79 TB online or in-store)
Lastly I had to include another little something from Ted Baker as I own quite a few pieces from them now and treasure them all - I love their Ikon bags! This is my own purse which I've had for over a year now and still absolutely adore. The quality and design is spot on and luxurious without costing over the £100 mark. A gift like this would be perfect for the friend or family member you spot using an old purse they've had for years and with some many different designs and colours you really can pick something that would suit their taste. Smaller purses are also available at around the £40 mark.

Hope this has helped you with a few ideas!

Fragrance_gifts-Christmas-2015

For me Christmas isn't Christmas without a new fragrance under the tree. There is just something about opening up a new bottle of perfume and that first spritz on Christmas Day that conjures up nice memories and seals it as my Winter scent for the new year.

As everyone is on a different budget I thought I'd share with you four budget friendly fragrances and four much more luxury scents that will hopefully suit someone you are buying for this Christmas. Or this may simply give you a few ideas for what to put on your Christmas list!

Best-cheap-perfumes

Budget Fragrances - all under £15

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely EDP 50ml
£15.00 - Debenhams here or Fragrance Direct here
A light powdery scent that is perfect for lovers of ultra feminine fragrances and any age I've found. This has been a true favourite of mine for many years and really doesn't smell like a cheap scent. I also find the bottle really elegant. A good all round fragrance if you were unsure of what the recipient would like.

Vera Wang Princess EDT 30ml
£14.95 - Fragrance Direct here
Over the past year or so Vera Wang Princess, a fragrance loved by many, has dramatically come down in price! This is generally when a fragrance has been discontinued but this isn't the case for Vera Wang Princess and I think is more to shine the spotlight on their newer fragrances. But that is good news for anyone that loves the scent like I do. This again is a feminine scent that is very floral and vanilla-y and just pretty, yes, I'd describe it as pretty.  Ideal for a teen or anyone in their 20's that likes feminine sweet floral scents.

Burburry Body Tender EDT 35ml
£12.95 - Fragrance Direct here

This is a scent I mentioned only yesterday in my Under £15 Christmas Gift Guide but a scent I've had in the past when it was much pricey than a mere £13! Body Tender is a softer silkier version of Burberry Body meaning it's a scent that most will enjoy. Expect notes of rose, sparkling peach and a hint of musk, though all round it's quite a clean fresh scent. For the price this is amazing value for money and as you can see comes in a luxurious bottle and packaging.

The Body Shop EDT 30ml
£8.50 - The Body Shop in-store
For years I've been in love with The Body Shop perfumes as they are inexpensive and come in a range of different scents, from Honeymania, Shea, Coconut, Moringa and many more. Above is my favourite spring/summer scent, Moringa which is such a lovely floral fragrance but there are just so many amazing scents to test out in-store.  Plus with The Body Shop's 40% off sale at the moment a perfume plus a few other treats would make a great budget gift.

Luxury-perfume-gifts

Luxury Fragrances

Shay & Blue Salt Caramel EDP 30ml
£30.00 - John Lewis here
Shay & Blue was the luxury fragrance brand that stood out to me this year with some amazing and unique scents. Here I have the rich and gourmand Salt Caramel scent that has been a true favourite of mine for the past few months. This is a truly yummy scent that smells to me more of popcorn than caramel and is certainly a scent for someone with a sweet tooth. However Shay & Blue Blood Orange is another amazing scent from the brand. Though a luxury brand £30 is a great price for these scents and they come beautifully packaged.

Thierry Mugler Alien EDT 30ml
£39.00 - Boots here
I've loved many scents from Thierry Mugler over the years but Alien has become a true signature scent for me and one I often get compliments on (along with Guerlian Insolence). This is certainly an attention grabbing perfume that is perfect for someone that enjoys a bold scent. The main notes of this are jasmine and amber, creating a unique yet sensual fragrance with great staying power. A perfect Christmas gift, especially if you go for a luxurious gift set!

Lancome La Vie Est Belle EDP Intense 50ml
£69.00 Boots here
Lancome know how do luxury especially when it comes to fragrances and their recent Eau De Parfum Intense of La Vie Est Belle certainly shows that with an amazing silage of around 10-12 hours. If you are new to La Vie Est Belle I'd describe it as a sweet yet smooth mature scent that definitely smells luxurious, but the notes of this really do fail me as it's so well blending, though I can smell Tuberose and a slightly nutty warmness to it. This is such a lovely unique scent that really has to be smelt first and marvelled at how long it lingers for. As for the bottle... just wow!

Hope this has helped to give you a few ideas!

P.S If you are planning on picking up a special someone a fragrance this Christmas then my favourite savvy of mine is to be to take a small bag of coffee beans with you when out shopping - it cleanses your nose of  previous scents so you can smell as many fragrances as you wish so you don't get nose blind!

Beauty-Christmas-gift-guide-2015

For my 'higher' priced Christmas gift guide I could have gone for a £20 or £30 budget but as I'm a savvy shopper by nature I decided to showcase some of the amazing gift sets and items you can pick up for only £15 or under.

This may have been my favourite guide to put together as all the gifts here don't look cheap and there are many luxury brand names here such as - Paul & Joe, Nuxe and Burberry to name but a few! Of course you may have more of a budget than £15 per friend or family member but this guide just goes to show that a lot doesn't need to be spent to give someone something special. I really hope you enjoy this one!

Under £15 High Street Beauty Buys

Soap & Glory Once Upon A Lime Gift Set  (£10 Boots)
With the Sugar Crush scent from S&G being one of my favourite scents EVER I had to include this amazing set in this gift guide... and because the talented people at Soap & Glory have somehow managed to create a glittery box that doesn't transfer onto everything in a 2 metre radius - I'm impressed! If you are new to the Sugar Crush scent then I sneakily recommend you have a sniff of one of the full size products in store because it's just amazing - think sugary, fizzy fresh limes. Included in this bargain set is - Sugar Crush Body Wash (75ml), Body Scrub (my fav!) (50ml), Body Buttercream (50ml), Hand Food (50ml) and a large pink shower puff. Amazing value for 5 mini products and the gorgeous box!

Maybelline Dare To Go Nude Set (half price £7.50 Tesco or £10.50 ASOS)
A good quality makeup set will always go down well with a beauty lover and one of my favourite affordable ones this year is this nude toned Maybelline set that contains 4 full size products which offers a good saving than if you were to buy the products separately. I also feel there's no 'dud' products in the set and the nude theme is safe yet on-trend. Included in the set - Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige, Brow Drama Transparent, Nude Color Sensational Lipstick in Tantalising Taupe and Color Show Nail Polish in Latte. You can also find a few other fab Maybelline sets in both Tesco and ASOS for a similar price.

Kiko Angel Kiss Set in Cranberry Crumble (£11.90 Kiko stores)
Can we take a moment to just marvel at this gorgeous gift set, please? Kiko is one of my favourite makeup brands and this year they have excelled with their gift range. I selected this wonderful set due to it containing a lip scrub, as other than Lush (which I'm not a fan of - too crumbly) there really aren't any on the high street. Also I really was impressed with the price of this set as it looks quite the luxury gift. In the Angel Kiss Set range there are 4 different scents/shades all with different names but Cranberry Crumble is my favourite as the scent is just divine and the Kiss Balm lip balm is a lovely berry shade. If you are near a KIKO store when Christmas shopping you really must go in and see this range for yourself and all the other beautiful gift sets.

China Glaze Mini Mixers (£14.99 Sally)
China Glaze know how to do Christmas nail sets well and each year I have to pick up a new set to try out and enjoy over the festive period. My set of choice this year is this mini set of 6 ultra festive shades that consist of 3 glitters, 2 shimmers and 1 creme nail polish... hence why they are named mini mixers! I'm also digging their festively named shades this year with the 6 minis named - Soiree I Didn't Do It, Mix And Mingle, Better Not Pout, Peppermint To Be, Son Of A Nutcracker and Don't Get Elfed Up. If you know someone that loves China Glaze or just nails in general this is the set to treat them to!

Under £15 Online Gifts

Burberry Body Tender EDT 30ml (£12.95 Fragrance Direct)
If you are looking for affordable fragrances then Fragrance Direct is the website to hit up! Amongst many other affordable scents I came across Burberry Tender which is a perfume I've owned before and loved, but remember being priced much higher than a mere £13! Not only is this a beautiful non-offensive feminine scent but the bottle and packaging are stunning and very gift giving worthy. I'm sure many would be very happy to unwrap this come Christmas Day! Side note - I found this by looking 'low-high' in the fragrance section of Fragrance Direct and was amazed at how many luxury scents they have for under £15 at the moment.

Nuxe Prodigieuse Spa Candle + 4 free samples (£7 Nuxe UK)
Nuxe was certainly not a brand I thought I'd be featuring in my under £15 gift guide but then I went and stumbled across this bargain offer on the Nuxe website and snapped it up straight away. With all orders on the Nuxe website at the moment you receive one free mini (I went for the amazing Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil) and 3 free samples, plus free delivery! So I decided to take advantage of the offer by buying the beautiful mini Nuxe Bougie Prodigieuse Candle that is heavenly scented - hard to describe but it's clean, feminine and very spa-like, I also love the festive touch of the gold stars to the glass jar. For £7 this really is a lovely gift!

4 for £15 Benefit minis + free stocking (£15 Boots)
Whilst generally browsing the Boots website last week I came across this fab little deal that I had to include it in my gift guide (yes, I buy most of my gift guide items myself!). Basically you select 4 Benefit minis of your choice (normally costing £5 each) and you receive a lovely little Benefit stocking along with them. There's a good choice of minis to select from and as you can see most of the products come boxed which is a nice touch and you can of course gift them to a friend or family member in the free stocking. This would be ideal for a teen, a secret santa or just as a little extra gift to a friend that loves Benefit products. I wish all high end makeup brands did this at Christmas!

Paul & Joe Cat Makeup Bag & Creamy Facial Foam (£13.50 ASOS)
Another brand I didn't expect to be including in my under £15 gift guide was Paul & Joe as they are known for being a little pricey when it comes to beauty products but they currently have a few exclusive sets on ASOS that are pretty affordable and all round lovely. This little set contains a nice sized makeup bag that is oh so cute (perfect for cat lovers!) and a good size 110ml of the Creamy Facial Foam which is one of their key products. Both items are just lovely and I can't believe it's only £13.50 - what a bargain. Similar Paul & Joe makeup bag & creamy facial foam here for the same price.

Makeup_Books_Christmas_2015

Beauty Extras

Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes (£14.96 Amazon)
Pretty Honest was the hot makeup book to buy last Christmas but as it's not one of those makeup books that will date I thought I'd include it in this years guide as well. For the past year this has been my go-to resource for all things makeup related that I've both read for hours at a time and also dipped in and out of. The subjects that are covered are so varied from salon etiquette to foundation and even how to get botox. This is a no nonsense book that would make an excellent read for a beauty lover... just make sure to check they don't already own it!

Simply Glamorous by Gary Cockerill (New from £14.88 Amazon)
If I can I ask for a new makeup book each Christmas then I do as there's something about receiving a hefty coffee table style read to pour over whilst eating chocolate for breakfast and spending the day in new pyjamas. This year I've asked for Lisa Eldridge's Face Paint: The Story of Makeup (£15.19 Amazon here) but if the history of makeup isn't what you are looking for then the Simply Glamorous book may just be as it's your classic makeup book full of tutorials and well shot beauty images. There is also so much content to the book and quite a few famous faces! An ideal present for someone that loves makeup or is thinking about getting into makeup artistry.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Brush Roll (£9.95 Feel Unique or Boots)
Lastly as a little beauty extra is this handy vintage inspired brush roll that holds 12 makeup brushes and has a little zip pocket for bits and bobs such as hair grips and cotton pads. What I particularly like about this roll is that it's really well made with the wipe clean oil cloth and strong stitching around it, basically it will last. I also love the vintage floral print, I want a whole makeup bag in it now! Such a nice little extra that you could include along side another beauty gift or even fill with a few new makeup brushes!

Homeware_gift_christmas_2015

A few more extras!

New Look Bunny Ears Slipper Boots (£12.99 ASOS)
Any kind of cosy lounge wear is gladly received by me at Christmas and so I just had to put something warm and cosy into a least one gift guide this year. That warm and cosy thing is these adorable slippers that honestly are the softest things I've ever felt... seriously your hand just sinks into them and you want to rub it against your face. Also who couldn't resist floppy bunny ears and a cute pom pom tail! ASOS have so many novelty slippers this year but these are my favourite not too silly ones that I just love.

Copper Balloon Dog Money Bank (£8.99 The Range)
Copper and rose gold homeware items are certainly having a moment right now and if you have someone to buy for that loves interiors then they may just love this playful copper balloon dog ornament that doubles up as a money box. I find The Range in general amazing for affordable homeware but this stood out to me as it's so unique and anything copper with a metallic/mirror finish is always a winner for me. Also available in silver.

Sass & Belle Be Creative Plaque (£5.62 Flamingo Gifts)
I featured a lovely Sass & Belle sign from ASOS in my last gift guide (under £5 here) and found another amazing affordable one on the Flamingo Gifts website that's quite a nice size. As you can see the plaque contains lots of lovely says on it and feels very Pinterest-worthy. It's also made of sheet metal, perfect for hanging up or leaning against other objects on a desk or shelf. I really like this for the price. Find lots of other cheap but lovely plaques and signs on Flamingo Gifts here.

Would love to know what gifts caught your eye here!

Christmas-gift-guide-for-her-2015

Whoop, finally it's time to roll out the first of my FIVE gift guides this year. This Christmas I've tried to source even more amazing gifts than last year whilst remaining savvy and keeping prices low.

A quality under £5 gift guide is no easy thing to put together but I've tried my utmost best and think I may have just achieved it, especially as there are some great brands here. I really hope this guide gives you a few ideas if you're on a budget, looking for a secret santa gift or wanting to stock up on a few emergency presents for unexpected guests!

Fragrance_Direct_Christmas-gifts

Fragrance Direct Gift Sets
Fragrance Direct is my ultimate place to shop for gifts and treats for myself, there are just so many bargains to be had and all their under £5 gift sets are just amazing and of course heavily discounted. Here I picked up three gift sets and a few extras that I had to show you!

Tanya Burr Nail Polish Trio Set (£2.99)
A nail polish gift set for a nail lover is certainly a great present to give and this set has to be the most budget friendly trio I've come across this year! In the set you receive three amazing shades including a glitter polish and with it being a boxed set it feels a substantial gift to give. Plus there's six different trio sets to pick fromso you really are spoilt for choice here! Pssst, I already have a few TB nail polishes in my stash and have to say they are pretty damn good!

Tara Smith Feed The Roots Trial Pack (£2.99)
Tara Smith is a favourite hair brand of mine as it's free from nasties such as SLS (sulphates). This wonderful packaged set contains both a 50ml shampoo & conditioner plus a hair serum. I'd say this is more of a mini hair gift set than just a trial pack and an excellent way to introduce someone to this fab brand for only £3 -  such a bargain!

W7 Lip Bomb Christmas Trio (£4.99)
If you are buying for a beauty lover that also loves Christmas then something festively themed will be spot on for them. I couldn't not pick up this shiny W7 Lip Bomb set as they instantly reminded me on the new Balmi metallic lip balms mix with the EOS balms. Included in the set of 3 fruity flavours (that smell so juicy!) in stunning metallic packaging. Just a lovely little set for the price and it could always be split up to give as fillers for 2 or 3 presents (I say two presents because then you can keep one for yourself!).

Staying with W7 because it's such a good brand I thought I'd share with you two of my favourite palettes from them. These are such high quality and perfect for any teen that is just getting into makeup or even someone in their 20's that you know hasn't splurged on any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes as these palettes are such great dupes of them. Both palettes come in metal tins and just look great, plus they offer amazing pigmentation. But if you are wanting even more of a bargain that there's the smaller W7 In The Mood palette that still contains 6 eyeshadows for the amazing price of £2.50 here

budget_Christmast-beauty-gifts

High Street Bargain Buys
If I'm totally honest it is trickier to find a beauty bargain on the high street especially if you want to opt for brands the recipient will have heard of and like, however it can be done! Below are four gift ideas that would work well as stocking fillers or as part of a present but shops such as Home Bargains, Pound World, Poundland and Body Care are great to have a look in.
Beauticology Cherry Almond Set (£4.50 Superdrug exclusive)
Beauticology products are everywhere this Christmas and with a huge range of fun, affordable gift sets. You can find them in Primark, Argos and Superdrug (plus a heap of other shops I'm sure), but the one that caught my eye due to the scent was the new limited edition Cherry Almond Sparkle set that contains a huge 500ml bottle of bath & shower creme and a handy shower puff all nicely packaged. The scent really is a winner for me as it smells like Bakewell Tarts and I'm sure most people would enjoy the scent too. This set and scent is exclusive to Superdrug at a really great price!

Montagne Jeunesse Cracker (£4.99 Argos)
Another great cracker of a gift here (gettit?)! This is such a bargain buy that I had to pick up whilst collecting a million overpriced toys from Argos last week. The lovely cracker contains 6 of Montagne Jeunesse's best selling masks for various parts of the body, not just the face. With six masks normally coming to £6 this is just great value and again a substantial gift to give with some extra sweets or chocolates.

Little Lush Duo - Yog Nog Soap & Marshmallow Melt (Total £5.50 in-store)
Lush are known for doing amazing gift sets at Christmas but they can be pricey so I decided to see if I could come up with a gift on a budget! With an over spend of 50p, which I'm sure you will forgive me on, I think I picked up two lovely products that could be easily gifted in a nice box or given as they are. A great tip to save money in Lush especially on soap is to look online first at the price per 100g and then ask in-store if they can cut you that amount (100g is the smallest amount they will do) which is so much better than picking up a piece that may be 200g+. I decided to go for the yummy Yog Nog soap which cost me £3.50 and as you can see it's a good size. Just goes to show that Lush can be affordable if you are on a budget or just want to give a small gift!

3 Soap & Glory Minis (£5.00 Boots 3 for 2)
Lastly for my highstreet bargains I headed to Boots and to their travel section and they have some pretty good minis these days and all on 3 for 2! As most beauty lovers a partial to a bit of Soap & Glory I picked up 3 minis for £2.50 each, but of course the 3rd mini was free. These included Clean On Me Body Wash, Daily Smooth Body Butter and Hand Food Hand Cream. This would make a lovely little gift for someone or to fill the bottom of a stocking with.

Budget-christmas-gifts

Non-Beauty Extras

ASOS Jewellery (from £3.00)
ASOS is my number 1 online store for cheap jewellery both my myself and to give as gifts. What I especially love is that you aren't limited just ASOS' own brand but so many others such as Orelia, River Island, Pieces, Gogo Philips and many more, plus most pieces come gift boxed. Here I bought this gorgeous Oasis necklace that was reduced to only £5 (you can find it here, fingers crossed it's not sold out!) and it definitely looks like it cost more than that. I'd totally recommend heading to the Outlet section of ASOS and also going to the main jewellery section of the site and looking from 'low-high' to find some amazing bargains.

Alphabet Bag (£4.00 Matalan)
Anything personalised is great to give a a gift as you really can't go wrong and it's good for people you don't know so well/a secret santa. This initial makeup bag (could also work as a pencil case I'm thinking) is the cheapest personalised item I could find and really is lovely quality and a good size. Matalan offer the best range of initual products on a budget so if you are wanting a wooden letter, an initial mug or this lovely alphabet bag then certainly check out Matalan.

Flamingo Gifts Scarves (£5.00)
Another lovely extra is this gorgeous scarf from Flamingo Gifts that's was a bargainous £5 and it's not just limited to this print... there's 11 to pick from! All the scarves are quite light and floaty but large in size so they can be doubled up or worn in which ever way you please. I've given scarves as presents before and like to wrap the scarf around the other gifts I'm giving and then wrap them all properly in paper

 Motivational Books
Books are a lovely gift to give especially to an avid reader but it can be tricky to find out what they have and haven't read. So for this reason I like to give motivational books as there are so many out there and even if the recipient is into them you can just opt for a lesser know title that they probably won't have read. A personal favourite of mine is Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso (New from £4.94 Amazon here), which is certainly inspiring and motivational for anyone that is self employed or at uni thinking about their future career. It's just a really good easy but detailed read that every savvy girl needs on their bookshelf. I also love this little book called The Little Book of Mindfulness 4.48 Amazon here) that is small in size but is worth it's weight in gold, especially for someone that has anxiety or depression or even someone that finds life stressful at times. The book contains practical tips on how to practice being mindful along with endless uplifting and inspiring quotes. Just a lovely thoughtful little book to give as a gift.

 Adult Colouring Books
Aside from motivational reads I had to include a few adult colouring books which have pretty much taken off in the past year. I'm personally a huge fan with my own Animal Kingdom Colouring Book (£3.99 Amazon here) that is just so detailed and perfect for sitting down with after a stressful day to clear my mind a bit. But you really can find so many now both on Amazon and supermarkets such as Asda and Tesco (I've always noticed Asda are cheaper for them). But if you are gifting someone that is new to the adult colouring books thang then this Mindfulness Colouring Diary (£5.00 Amazon here) is perfect as it's compact and includes 4 pages to colour in each month. This is actually a gift for someone but I'm really tempted to purchase this for myself as it both practical and creative plus I'm sure it would be satisfying to complete each page in order over the course of the year.

Love You To The Moon And Back Plaque 3.00 ASOS)
For the past few years cute little signs have become popular and you can find quite a few bargain ones if you look around. This plaque instantly caught my eye on the ASOS website as I loved the little saying and gold stars, ideal for hanging on a door handle or the corner of a mirror. You can also find some bargain plaques in Homebase and even Poundland!

 Thorntons Classics Favourite Puddings (£4.50)
Chocolates are a must at Christmas and for me it always has to be Thorntons, especially when I'm giving them as a gift. I especially loved the look of the Pudding chocolates as they are takes on classic puddings but in chocolate form! The above box has of course been devoured now and I have to say the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Manchester Tart and Jam Roly Poly chocolates were all amazing. Unique and yummy!

Free Downloadable Print (Free!)
My last gift is a totally free one as I decided to get crafty and come up with my own printable art! You can simply print out this 'Home is where your makeup stash is' print here on your own printer and frame it. I personally find frames from Asda the best and most affordable, starting at only £2 or ones from Ikea or The Range. Hope you like the free printout that you can either keep for yourself or give as a gift to a beauty lover!

Phew, the was one long gift guide! Hope I inspired a few budget gift ideas here or gifts to put on your own Christmas list.

Expect my under £15 Christmas Gift Guide on Monday!
