The Best Affordable Masks To Repair Damaged Hair

Whether you're a serial hair dyer or you use heat styling tools on a regular basis (yes, that includes a hair dryer) then you have more than likely experienced a degree of hair damage.

From split ends to dry, tangle-prone locks that are susceptible to snapping, damaged hair can be hard to remedy... we are dealing with effectively dead hair after all. Fortunately, there are products out that can help and although we don't normally associate a low price point with effective hair products today I wanted to share a few with you!

Not only do budget yet effective hair masks exist the below products are some of my all-time favourite treatments I rely on to restore my hair back to health when it's not looking and feeling it's best. From a mask that offers deep repair to an instant fix, there's sure to be something here to fix your dry hair woes.

L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 Mask
£3.00 for 300ml (on offer price)
For me this has to be the best drugstore/high street hair mask I've ever tried... and I've tried a lot. Yes, it may be a silicone based quick fix but it gives soft tangle-free hair in only 3 minutes and once dry there's a noticeable shine. I've used this countless times after dying my hair and can instantly feel the difference even while still in the shower, with how tangle-free and silky my hair feels through my fingers. This mask also makes the hair feel stronger and like it's had a moisture boost without adding weight to the hair. Truly a hair mask to try out if you are someone that regularly dyes their hair or goes swimming. Currently on offer for only £3 in Boots.

Bleach London Reincarnation Mask
£6.00 for 200ml
For over dyed or bleached hair this is one of the most effective yet affordable hair masks around. Perfect for when hair is feeling dry and brittle or even when it feels strangely elastic/stretchy, a sign of hair damage, this mask will have your locks back to normal and looking healthy in 20 minutes flat. Enriched with sunflower seed extract and micro wheat proteins, this mask not only hydrates but it adds strength, shine and colour vibrancy and benefits from being free of nasty ingredients and is vegan! Although this is one of my newer masks that I picked up as soon as Cult Beauty started stocking Bleach London, the results have been instant and last past my next wash. An impressive restoring product that truly rivals many salon quality masks.

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque
£10.20 for 100ml (larger sizes available)
Lastly, I had to mention one of my all time favourite hair masks that I've repurchased time and time again in both the smallest 100ml tube size (much easier to use in the shower) and the largest tub size! For me this gives the best results out of all three masks mentioned here and is the hair product I turn to when I want my hair to look it's very best. Described as a hair reconstructor that penetrates and rebuilds damaged hair for improved health, shine and elasticity it's a mask that gives instant in-shower results after 7 minutes, however for a real transformation I highly recommend keeping on for double the time wrapped in a warm towel. Trust me, if you try this hair mask you will most likely get hooked on it!

Are you a hair mask addict? If so, let me know your ultimate favourites both budget and premium!
