Amazing Beauty Products in Poundland!

Poundland_Beauty_Products

Last week I popped into Poundland to check out what beauty products they had and left wondering why I ever shop in places such as Boots & Superdrug.

Yes, of course I will always shop in those places as they have such a wide range of choice but more and more I opt to shop in pound shops and discounted stores online such as Fragrance Direct and Amazon because the prices are just so low/affordable.

I think the key to shopping in discounted shops, online and offline, is to not spend on products you wouldn't normally buy just because they are cheap!

A lot of the products featured below do retail for quite low prices but are still amazing value for £1 each. Though Poundland often stock higher RRP products such as Revlon & Sally Hansen Nail Polishes (normally £7 each), Dainty Doll makeup (£10+ each), Rimmel products (£6.00 each).

The first products I spotted which I was so pleased to see were the W7 Mega Matte Lips as I've seen some great reviews on them and they can only generally be found online. There were around 4 shades, mainly all pink toned (sadly without shade names) so I decided to pick up a dusky pink and a vivid red. I haven't fully tried these out yet but these are seriously pigmented and have great lasting power!

I was also more than pleased to see my beloved NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Poundland and even more pleased when I realised it was in a shade (Apple Blueberry Pie) that you can only get in the U.S! These only retail for £2.49 and are more than worth it at that price but £1 it is just a steal, especially when it came in a set of 2 NYC products, hence the eyeliner... so the NYC lip balm was actually 50p! You can see my review of the Applelicious Glossy Lip Balms with lip swatches here.

I also picked up some Kleenex Facial Clothes which I have purchased before from Poundland and much prefer to cotton pads when removing my makeup. Also these are great for removing nail polish with as they don't rip and you only need to use one cloth for all of your nails. Another essential I picked up was Dry Shampoo, I haven't tried this specific one from Fish before but I always like to try out different ones for some reason.

Last but not least I picked up an amazing Sinful Colors nail polish. Again these do only retail for £1.99 but I see that as great value for money as the quality of them is perfect, so to get one at only £1 is just a benefit. As you can see 'See You Soon' isn't the most summery of shades so this is one to start using later on in the year. I did also spot a few other shades but thought I wouldn't go crazy as I've purchased quite a lot of Sinful Colors nail polishes recently (I'm sporting 'Pistachio' on my nails as I type).

As I mentioned above all the products don't retail for that much and are all products you could most likely pick up from Superdrug or a supermarket but I worked out I still managed to save myself £11!

So remember if you are shopping on the high street make you don't forget to visit the pound shops!

Fee xo.
