Lifting the Lid... She Said Beauty June 2012

She Said Beauty June 2012 Box

Beauty box review time!
When I get a knock at the door and handed the pink She Said Beauty parcel I always get excited as I really do feel She Said Beauty get what an average beauty lover wants & likes so I am never ever disappointed.

As per usual even if you aren't interested in subscribing to a beauty box just treat this as mini reviews of different products as I really do try them all out.

 The Price
The She Said Beauty box contains 5-6 luxury beauty samples for £9.00 a month plus £2.95 delivery or you can pay 3, 6 or 12 months in advance (a one off payment) with a saving.
You can view all prices & subscription details here.

Elemis Tranquil Touch

Elemis Sp@ Home Tranquil Touch Indulgent Bath Elixir (50ml)
(Full size £19.00/300ml - here)
I've never tried anything by Elemis before but I knew it as a great high end brand so I really pleased to see this in the box. I used half of this in my bath after starting the 30 Day Shred (DVD - here if you dare to even look at it! Jillian Michaels is one mean, mean lady) as my muscles were really aching. I probably didn't need half as much as I used but it was bubbles galore and was so soothing. The smell of this is also amazing, it actually smells expensive if that is possible, really rich and deep. Will be using the rest of it when I want a really relaxing bath. I don't think I would buy this for myself as I only have baths when I'm really achey/need to relax but I know a few people who this would make an ideal Christmas present for. Bath lovers with adore this!

Ginvera BB Cream

Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream (3g sachet)
(Full size £20.00/25ml - here)
The first BB Cream that I had tried that was actually a BB cream... well in my eyes anyway with SPF, good ingredients that benefit the skin and not just a glorified tinted moisturiser like so many 'BB Creams' on the high street. I actually have the full size product of this so I didn't need to sample it again really but I will be taking this sample on holiday with me so I'm still glad to have it. Compared to all the BB Creams on the high street this is much thinner and doesn't give that tacky feeling on the skin. A little goes a long way and doesn't cling to dry patches (something I have a problem with, with lots of foundations) also on me this gives medium coverage I would say. As for the 'suitable for all skin tones' I'm not too sure really... for my pale skin I found it looked a bit grey but it changes over a few minutes and is quite a good match and I'm sure it will also match my tanned skin. But for someone with olive or darker skin I could see this just looking grey/ghostly on the skin.

Balance Me Hand Cream

Balance Me Super Moisturising Hand Cream (30ml)
(Full size £14.50/100ml - here)
Another product I was really pleased to see as I love Balance Me products and hand creams - they always come in handy seeing as I do my nails so often. As soon as I got this I placed it next to the soap in bathroom so that I could use it after washing my hands and really noticed how hydrating it was. This is quite a thick hand cream compared to most but it soaks in fast and smells lovely. Super pleased with this product and will definitely be hunting down another mini sized version to put in my handbag come winter.

Yardley Royal Diamond

Yardley Royal Diamond Eau De Toilette (1ml vial)
(Full size £9.99/50ml - here)
I do quite like trying out perfume samples in boxes when they don't retail for £100 a bottle. So something like this is nice to try out and I was actually surprised that I like it and have now used it all up. For £9.99 full price this does smell like quite a sophisticated perfume and you would never guess that it was so cheap. The next perfume I get is actually between this or 4711 cologne actually!

Lets Go Strip lashes

Let's Go Lashes - Temptress 9 (full size product)
(Full size £8.95 - here)
I like false eyelashes but only wear them on special occasions, so I will either be saving them for my holiday in November or to wear at a Christmas party. The quality of these are really good and for the price of the box getting lashes that retail for nearly £9 is great!

St Tropez Perfect legs spray self tan

St. Tropez Self Tan Perfect Legs (75ml/full size product)
(Full size £9.99 - here)
Another full size product and one I have been using when the weather has been sunny because I never fake tan really so if I wake up and the sun is shining I spray this onto my legs and even my arms and chest and it just gives me a bit of colour. So easy to apply and no risk of it developing it's some scary orange tan! Again really pleased to have received this product.

There is actually no need to do positives and negatives for this box as I was pleased with every single product! What I really love about the She Said Beauty box is that the selection of products are from really good brands and in an affordable price range so that you can actually buy the product/re-purchase it.

If you are thinking of signing up to a beauty box service then have a look at what has been in the last 4 She Said Beauty boxes - here (at the bottom of the page).

Fee xo.
