The Best Budget Concealers for Pale Skin

For the longest time I've wanted to write about the best budget concealers for pale skin, because I know the struggle in finding the palest shade with good coverage and staying power - it's tricky. And then if you don't want to spend too much it's even trickier!

So today I wanted to run through the best of the best; the concealers you can't go wrong with! With a mixed selection to cover blemishes, under-eye circles, the lowest of budgets and even a few dupe concealers. If you are in need of a new concealer or fancy trying something different then this post is for you.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer - C1 (£7)
First came Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define (£3.95), a concealer I was loyal to for quite some time. But then the Conceal & Hydrate formula came out this year, both in concealer & foundation form and while the foundation was a miss for me as it was simply too creamy for my oily T-zone, I fell in love with the concealer. For under the eyes a touch of hydration is key so this creamy high-coverage concealer is perfect. No creasing or shifting throughout the day and it can even be used to create a cut crease on the eyelid due to the amazing coverage it provides.

If you like Tarte Shape Tape Concealer then this is very similar to it! It also comes in a range of pale shades in both warm and cool tones, which is just amazing for the price. My only critique is with the packaging, as the rose gold lid has worn off in places making it look very tatty - argh!

NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer - Fair (£8)
If you are looking for a brightening, high coverage concealer then look no further than this one! Amazing under the eyes to conceal even the darkest of under-eye circles or on red blemishes, this high coverage feels fairly thick but blends a dream when applied with a makeup sponge. It's also a concealer with incredible staying power even when it's not set with powder. On days when I want my eyes to look really awake or when applying evening makeup, I always reach for this concealer.

Essence Camouflage + Matt Concealer - 10 Light Rose (£2.80)
I'd described this ultra-budget concealer as pale, lightweight and mattifying. Oh, and strongly scented/fragranced, which is its downfall - just why?! A concealer perfect for covering up blemishes rather than using under the eyes as it dries matte fairly quickly and does a great job of it. This means fresh breakouts stay covered and the concealer formula actually soaks up excess oil. A great cheap concealer for oily skin types here.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Fair 1 (£4.19)
If you have been a fan of beauty blogs for a long time then you will be aware that this was the beauty bloggers favourite concealer for many years in the early 2000s! While the formula hasn't changed and it's still as amazing, it's not mentioned as often but believe me, this is still a drugstore gem that you would struggle to be disappointed with. The high coverage non-cakey lasting formula is why this concealer is loved by many, making it ideal for the under-eye area. I haven't picked it up in a few years now, simply because I own too many concealers but if you are in need of something new that performs like a premium product then I'd highly recommend trying it. New paler shades have also been launched this year as well!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer - 05 Brightener (£6.29)
Onto a concealer that has had some amazing press/blog coverage in the past few years as it's pretty much a dream product with an applicator that gives a beauty blender-like finish. The soft sponge applicator allows just the right amount of concealer to apply to the skin, blending and buffing it to perfection with a slight bouncing/tapping technique. The airbrushed finish is also enhanced by the tone of each shade with 00 Ivory being a lovely neutral shade and 05 Brightening, an amazing pink undertoned shade ideal for the under-eye area which is a total game-changer if you ask me!

Lacura Concealer Pen - 100 Cashmere (£2.99)
If you have been looking for YSL Touche Eclat dupe in the same lightweight fair formula then look no further as this is best low-cost opinion I've come across thus far! While this Aldi Special Buy comes in and out stock it's a product worth picking up even on eBay. Amazing under the eyes as it has a medium coverage brightening effect and the pen-style applicator is beyond easy to use. A total makeup steal!

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Liquid Concealer -  01 Ivory (£7.99)
Lastly, another hydrating concealer that is great if you find that other concealers settle into fine lines or look dry around the delicate eye area. While hydrating I find this a well-balanced formula, even for oily skin types, with medium coverage, great for everyday makeup as it looks beyond natural. I'm also happy that the concealer isn't scented unlike a lot of other Bourjois products.

Let me know if you have discovered something new here and what your own favourite budget concealer is!

Fee xo.
