Most Used Makeup Dupes of 2019

It's all well and good that I share the best makeup dupes around, but do I actually use them? Today I thought I would share with you my own most used makeup dupes that I have felt are worthy of staying in my makeup bag and have stopped me buying the more expensive version - yes, I often stop buying more premium products when a makeup dupe is that good!

Below you will find some of the best makeup dupes of 2019 that I have been totally sold on and absolutely recommend picking up.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lipstick Dupe
NYX Matte Lipstick in Euro Trash (£7)
When putting together my Ultimate Charlotte Tilbury Dupe List post I tried out countless products to find the makeup dupes for some of my own CT favourites. The main product I wanted to dupe was Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk as it's been my favourite nude lipstick ever since I tried it many years ago - I'm never without it. So when I came across the oh so similar NYX Matte Lipstick in Eurotrash I was thrilled. Not only is this a total steal at £7 but the shade is pretty much spot-o, as you can see. The formula is also not too dissimilar along with the diffusing matte finish that feels comfortable on the lips while lasting well.

While I will always purchase Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk because it's simply perfection, NYX Eurotrash is my handbag lipstick when wearing Pillow Talk, for re-applications and touch-ups. It's also the everyday lipstick I now reach to save using up my beloved CT Pillow Talk. This is truly my top makeup dupe of 2019!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Dupe (£28)
Lacura Snapshot Ready Primer (£5.99)
Over the past year, Lacura has come out with some pretty impressive dupes. Now I know there has been quite some controversy around that as Aldi has been pretty blatant when it comes to the names and packaging of these products and I two have wondered when is a dupe simply straight-up copying! But they are products on the market and I was intrigued to try them out both for my own use and also to review on Makeup Savvy.

My favourite Lacura 'dupe' of them all has been the Snapshot Ready Primer as it really couldn't be anymore similar to the cult classic that is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. With a very silicone base, only a little is required to ensure to don't clog your pores, this primer glides over the skin with such ease, blending a dream. This budget primer gives such an amazing velvet finish that you can visibly see how it fills in enlarged pores and blackheads and diffused any other skin texture issues and imperfections in the skin!! All foundation and other base products then apply easier and more smoothly making everything sit well and stay oil-free through the day. I truly love this primer and use it every time I wanted my skin to look smooth and flawless.

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer Dupe (£23)
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer (£4)
I will admit when it comes to concealers I'm addicted. If there's a new concealer out, I will try it. So of course when I heard about a possible dupe for Tarte's iconic Shape Tape I was there! Sadly, having never tried the Shape Tape Concealer, only the foundation, I can't give a direct comparison but from how the Makeup Revolution looks and performs it feels high quality for the price. Other than the large shade range I also love the chunky doe-foot applicator (exactly like Tarte Shape Tape) that makes entire face concealing a breeze and feels like you are getting enough product on the skin in one swipe before blending. The concealer also blends exceptionally well, even under the eyes, never creasing or looking dry. Along with the new Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer (£7) this is one of my most reached for concealers, especially from the drugstore - I can't get enough of it!

Thierry Mugler Alien Dupe (£45)
Superdrug Blossom Body Mist (£3.29)
While I own quite a lot of premium fragrances I do love a good perfume dupe! Yes, cheaper scents don't last as long on the skin but with the much lower price you can apply more often. The fragrance dupe I've used the most in 2019 has been this ultra-cheap body mist from Superdrug that I totally didn't expect to smell exactly like one of my favourite scents; Mugler Alien!

If you already love Mugler Alien or know what it smells like then you will know it's quite a unique scent that doesn't smell similar to any other fragrance so I was beyond impressed with how Superdrug have been able to replicate it into a slightly weaker body mist. Since running out my own Thierry Mugler Alien scent I have yet to repurchase it and I'm definitely not in any rush too now that I adore this bargain body mist that smells exactly the same!

Kat Von D Tatoo Liner Dupe (£17)
NYX Professional Makeup Epic Ink Liner (£9)
Last but certainly not least I had to share another total favourite makeup find of 2019 that even if it didn't dupe anything I would still adore! So the dupe here that I really can't get over how good it is, is the NYX Epic Ink Liner that I also picked up in brown after realising how perfect it was. Why so good you ask? Well not only is the nib fine but flexible (similar the that of the Kat Von D Tatoo Liner) but the pigmentation is just incredible, along with how long it lasts on the eyes without smudging. I just haven't come across an eyeliner as good for under £10 before!

NYX Epic Ink Liner instantly reminded me of Kat Von D Tatoo Liner with how jet black it is, applying over even chunky glitter shadows and foils really well, so for that reason I've now stopped repurchasing Kat Von D Tatoo Liner in favour of my trusty NYX bargain find!

I really hope you enjoyed reading what my personal favourite makeup dupes are and hopefully, I've encouraged you to try something out here so you too can save money!

Fee xo.
