Breast Cancer Awareness - Think Pink Nails

Breast Cancer awareness nail art

Today is Wear It Pink day in support of Breast Cancer (website about it all here) so I thought I would wear pink on my nails and donate because I'm wearing pink.... actually I'm also wearing a pink Lush liquid lipstick in Passionate & pink Coverse!

I decided to go for mix and match nails to create a fun look, so I collected all my pink nail polishes together and just went with it.

As you can see I did attempt at creating the breast cancer ribbon on my ring finger however it didn't look that great so I decided to remover it and add a bit of marbling and some glitter. I really think I need to trim my nail art brushes that I have so they are a bit finer.

Think Pink nails

For the base nail polish I used China Glaze Wicked Style.
On pinkie - I used Models Own Magenta Divine
Ring fingernail -  I applied a little white nail polish and merge it in the nail with a cut out piece of plastic wallet (had to get creative as I didn't have any sandwich bags!) then I added Models Own Hot Stuff over the top (better swatch I did here).
Middle nail - I used Rimmel Pro Urban Princess for the flowers with a tiny bit of white nail polish swirled in with a cocktail stick.
My index finger - I applied stripping tape and painted my nail in Rimmel Pro Urban Princess
Thumb nail - I didn't take a picture but it is little pink glitter polka dots.

I actually really like the look of mix 'n' match nails but rarely ever do them so this is a nice change. Also the mix of designs and glitter makes it fun!

Nails Inc Breast Cancer Paint your pinkie

Also Nails Inc have decided to donated £1 from every bottle of their Pinkie Pink nail polish sold to Breast Cancer Campaign and are encouraging women to paint their pinkie's pink! You can find the nail polish - here.

On other nail news have you see Models Own new swatch gallery on their website? It is basically different swatches that nail fans/blogger have done, even a few of my nails are in there. You can look by most popular and by clicking on the images you can find out what the shade name is. It will of course be good for look at the different shades MO do but also nice to get some inspiration for nail art as well.

If you haven't got pink nails today at least paint your pinkie, pink!

Fee xo.
